Student Success Stories

Find Your School's Story

As a school leader, you want to create a Christ-centered, inclusive environment where every student belongs and thrives. But it can feel challenging to know where to start or how to meet the diverse needs of all your students, especially those with disabilities.

The good news is that you’re not alone. Across the United States, Canada, and the Dominican Republic, All Belong Member schools are already embracing inclusive education and seeing the transformation that follows. With our wealth of experience and resources, we can help your school create a community where every student is known, valued, and supported.

Here are just a few stories from our Member schools to inspire you on your journey toward inclusion.

Bronson’s Growth at Lynden Christian

When Bronson first enrolled at Lynden Christian School, his parents were unsure whether a Christian education was possible for their son, who has autism. Thanks to the school’s partnership with All Belong, Bronson has thrived in the classroom and on the playground, growing socially, academically, and spiritually. His presence has also transformed his peers’ understanding of inclusion. Today, Bronson’s school community sees the benefits of supporting all students, regardless of their abilities. Bronson’s journey highlights how schools can foster an inclusive environment that nurtures every student.

Isaac’s Legacy of Friendship

Isaac Postma, a senior at South Christian High, inspired friendships that transcended academic needs. Living with spinal muscular atrophy, Isaac’s involvement in school activities like woodworking and performing arts shaped his peers’ understanding of community. With the support of his classmates, Isaac participated fully, using his talents in the shop and on stage. His friends’ intentional efforts to include him created bonds that left a lasting impact on how they see their roles as future leaders. Isaac’s story shows how inclusive education builds strong, supportive relationships that benefit all students.

Eva's Lesson in Empathy

Eva, a 4th grader at one of our member schools, struggled with impulsive behavior. After taking a bracelet from a friend, her teachers saw an opportunity to guide her using All Belong's See-Think-Do process. Instead of punishing Eva, they focused on helping her understand the consequences of her actions by organizing a restorative meeting. As Eva and her friend rebuilt trust together, she learned valuable lessons in empathy and accountability. This thoughtful, Christ-centered approach allowed Eva to grow emotionally and spiritually alongside her academic progress.

Beau's Path to Success

Beau, a seventh grader facing attention and memory challenges, was failing all his classes and losing interest in school. With the support of his All Belong consultant and school team, Beau’s Individual Support Plan was revised, focusing on his specific needs. Through collaborative efforts and the See-Think-Do framework, Beau regained confidence, improved his performance, and found joy in learning again. His story illustrates how personalized support transforms a struggling student into a thriving one.

Jer's Journey at Rehoboth Christian

Jer, a sixth grader with Down syndrome, is thriving at Rehoboth Christian School in New Mexico. As the first student with Down syndrome at his school, Jer’s teachers and peers quickly learned how to communicate with him, using expressions to guide him through daily activities. Thanks to the support of his educational team and inclusive environment, Jer is excelling academically and socially. His story reflects the power of inclusion in ensuring that all students are known, needed, and valued.

Ady, Elena, and Olivia's Classroom Community

At Zeeland Christian School, Ady, who lives with Down syndrome, shares a classroom with her best friends, Elena and Olivia. While some schools might have placed Ady in a separate setting, Zeeland embraced full inclusion. Her friends help her with class projects and group activities, ensuring she is fully integrated into both the academic and social aspects of school life. The inclusive environment at Zeeland Christian has not only benefitted Ady but has also taught her peers the value of making space for everyone’s unique contributions.
